Existing together with the Monastery since the year 856 as an annex of the Abbey of Monte Cassino, it was re-built again in 1007 by monk Teobaldo, who modified the apse and the lower part of the facade and then the Montecassino abbot Desiderio finished it, preserving the original structure. Today it is composed of three aisles, divided by pillars concluded by the typical Benedictine frame and covered by wood trusses . The mosaic floor dates back to the 13th century, and visitors can admire important frescoes from the XIII century . On the outside, it is worth mentioning a majestic square bell tower, dating back to the first 30 years of the XII century. It is a significant example of Romanesque-medieval architecture of the region.
